Kai Ming Rainbow Center Preschool is situated at the heart of Chinatown. Its open-air playground is located in the Ping Yuen Housing Projects courtyard so children can play safely away from the streets. SWA worked on the conceptual design and we brought it to life! The playground consists of TigerTurf Diamond Pro Spring Synthetic Grass covering giant foam mounds which are covered by 4” thick concrete shells which form the mounds for this fun, unique playground surfacing. Miracle Recreation Hand Grips are installed on one hill which helps kids get to the top of the Embankment Steel Hill Slide. Fun UPC Parks steps and benches round out the playground. This is a truly unique play-space for an urban school playground!
