This playground replaced a 20+ year old MREC playground. The old playground was bland and colors blended into the scenery so the City wanted something fresh and new and colorful. We had community meetings to get input on colors and elements of the playground. We installed our first Physics New Moon and did sort of a butterfly theme, calling the New Moon a "Butterfly Net" with the Softplay Butterfly and colors to match. The tot area was separate and had extra spaces with panels for the very littlest of kids to play in their own space. Community loves it!
